In the process of stamping mold manufacturing, improper quenching and fire recovery process will cause the finished product to deform, and eventually causes the mold to burst.

1. Preliminary thermal treatment: According to the materials and requirements of different molds, operators need to use annealing, positive fire or quenching to recover to eliminate the structural defects of the forging rough and improve the processing process. In addition, after the mold raw material is properly prepared, the distribution of carbides is more uniform, which is conducive to ensuring quenching and ignition quality, and extending the life of the mold.

2. Quenching and recovery: This is the key link of mold thermal treatment. If the temperature during quenching is too high, the brittleness of the mold will be strengthened, and the production of the product is easy to deform and crack during the cooling process, which will seriously affect the service life of the mold. During the quenching and heating process of the mold, the operator should strictly abide by the thermal treatment process specifications, and pay special attention to the occurrence of oxidation and decarburization. If conditions permit, vacuum heat treatment can be used. In addition, after quenching, we should use different ignition processes according to the requirements of automatic hardware processing technology.
