In real work, most CNC machine tools have their own automatic locking function in the system when they leave the factory. However, what I have learned is that because most CNC machine tools are relatively expensive, ranging from tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands or even millions, we often don't have that much money when buying machine tools. So what should we do? So there is a mortgage, and once the down payment is completed, the machine tool can be taken home. Within the agreed time, after the buyer repays on time, the seller will send an unlock password to unlock it. If the repayment is not completed on time, The machine tool will automatically lock up within the set time (of course, the machine tool will not suddenly lock up during operation, but will lock and fail to work when a certain part is processed, or starting from the next day).
How is this automatic locking function implemented?
There are two popular theories in the industry: some say that a GPS positioning module is installed, while others say that a gyroscope or level is installed. If the device senses that the machine tool is shaking at a certain angle, it will lock the system and require a password to unlock it.
However, after careful consideration and consulting with several installation and debugging engineers, the editor unanimously agreed that the first statement was flawed.
Machine tools are installed indoors, and high-precision equipment may even be in a separate room. Poor GPS signal becomes a common occurrence, and if GPS signal is not received during installation, it is a nightmare for manufacturers. Generally, stable positioning can only be achieved in areas with good outdoor signals. Indoor auxiliary positioning needs to be carried out through mobile communication base stations, so machine tool manufacturers will not use non signal communication positioning methods. It is easy to verify whether this is the case. Buying a signal jammer can block base station communication, and the machine tool will definitely not be locked. Manufacturers will not be foolish enough to rely on such things.
