Ten steps for CNC machining

Time:2024-01-09 Preview:

1. Review drawings. Understand the processing properties, clearly observe the length and width directions of the template (or mold seat), the clamping method, and the workpiece processing coordinates

2. Verify. According to the specifications of the template (or base) indicated on the drawing, measure the length, width, and height of the desired template (or base) in real numbers. If there is no margin or it does not match the dimensions on the drawing, immediately respond. Furthermore, check whether the material indicated on the template (or mold base) is consistent with the drawing.

3. Clamp. According to the coordinate method indicated by CNC programming, when clamping, it is necessary to pay attention to the pressure code not interfering with the cutting path, and the clamping should be firm, safe, and without any hidden dangers. When clamping large templates (or mold seats), manual forklifts should be used and should not be used recklessly. The work should have a safety production concept.

4. School schedule. First, calibrate the plane. The flatness of the template is generally guaranteed to be within the wire, and the flatness of the mold seat is generally guaranteed to be within the wire. The parallelism of the rear side is generally guaranteed to be within.

5. Touch number. Clearly observe the collision number method indicated by CNC. When dividing on all four sides, do not be careless and deviate. When touching on one side, be sure to pay attention to the radius of the center of the division. If the program specifies the entry, remember to enter on the basis of the radius of the center of the division. Special attention: When counting, the rotational speed should not exceed 500. If the rotational speed is too fast, it is easy to damage the center handle.

6. Enter coordinates. After touching the number of points, the X and Y axes cannot be moved. The coordinates should be entered before moving.

7. Install the knife. Find the corresponding tool according to the program sheet, and pay attention to whether the tool length meets the requirements when installing the tool. It should be noted that the marked depth on the program sheet is the deepest depth, and the tool length should be added at least 10mm on top of the deepest depth.

8. Set the knife. Move the Z-axis to the center position of the board, slowly lower the blade to a height of about 10mm, and then use the tool holder to align the blade. It should be noted that when adjusting the Z-axis height of the adjustment section, the tool holder should not be placed under the blade, as it may easily hit the blade. After the knife is aligned, the coordinates should be immediately copied before moving the Z-axis. After finishing the knife, remember to lift it up before proceeding with any further actions.

9. Transfer program. Set the mode to "DNC" mode, adjust the feed adjustment key to "O", press the program transfer key, find the corresponding program in the computer, and transfer it to the machine tool controller. Note that the program name in the computer should be consistent with the one on the program sheet, and the tools in the program should also be consistent with the one on the program sheet.

10. Processing. When cutting, the blade should be slowly lowered. When cutting one or twenty millimeters, check whether the actual height is consistent with the height displayed on the controller display screen to prevent stepping on the blade. During processing, full use should be made of methods such as watching, listening, and smelling to monitor the processing status. If any abnormalities are found, the machine should be immediately shut down for inspection.
